Based in the rural heart of Kusu, Oita, Kei is a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter and the founder of Kyushu Immersion. Before guiding, he spent over a decade in international business and overseas sales — years that sharpened his sense of what travelers from around the world are really looking for, and gave him an easy, cross-cultural way of connecting with people. A background in the travel industry followed, teaching him to craft journeys that feel seamless from the first hello to the last goodbye. Today, Kei pours all of that into the thing he loves most: sharing the authentic, local heart of Kyushu. He designs personal, flexible itineraries that lead far beyond the usual tourist trail — to the hidden corners, quiet encounters, and everyday moments that reveal the true soul of his home.
Hello, and welcome! My name is Kei, and it is my greatest joy to share the wonders of my home, Kyushu, with you. I started Kyushu Immersion with a simple idea: to offer the kind of deep, meaningful travel experiences that I myself would want to have. For me, travel is not just about seeing new places, but about the stories we share and the connections we make along the way. My goal is to be more than just your guide; I want to be your local friend, helping you create your own unique and unforgettable Kyushu story.
