Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade in marketing and public relations for international companies — work that gave her fluent English and an easy, natural way of bridging cultures. Today she pours that energy into hands-on experiences that connect guests with local life, age-old traditions, and Oita’s home-grown gastronomy. Whether over a shared meal or in a quiet corner of town, Rie loves helping travelers feel the true spirit of her home and discover the authentic heart of Kyushu.
