Itinerary

Please note: This is a sample 6-hour itinerary from Yufuin Onsen. As this is your private tour, the start time is fully flexible and we will adjust the schedule accordingly. If the tour starts from Beppu, the total duration and the routing will be modified for efficiency.

9:00 AMDeparture from Yufuin

Your private journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Yufuin. Enjoy a premium drive along the Yamanami Highway, one of Japan’s most scenic mountain routes.

10:00 AMChojabaru & Tadewara Marshland

Experience the local lifestyle at a geothermal village. Enjoy a healthy and delicious Jigoku-mushi (hell-steamed) which is recommended. *Lunch budget is NOT INCLUDED. Please pay on-site.

11:15 AMMakinoto Pass Observatory

Reach the highest point of the highway at 1,330 meters. Take a short walk to the observatory for a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the Kuju mountain range and the smoking Aso peaks in the distance.

12:00 PMKomatsu Jigoku (The Untouched Hell)

An immersive walk through hissing steam and bubbling mud. Here, you will make your own Onsen Tamago (hot spring eggs) directly in the boiling springs.

1:00 PMLunch at a local restaurant

We will pick up a good local restaurant as your preferred choice.

2:00 PMKokonoe "Yume" Grand Suspension Bridge

Stand 173 meters above the valley for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the mountains and the Shindo waterfalls.

3:00 PMTour concludes

Your tour concludes as we drop you off at your hotel or another preferred location in Yufuin
